Discover the city of Amsterdam

Centre
In the Center of Amsterdam you will find the famous canals, the Royal Palace on Dam Square, the flower market and various neighborhoods such as the Jordaan, the Red Light District and the Haarlemmerbuurt. This is also the district for tourists and the large retail chains. One of the nicest shopping streets in Amsterdam Center is Utrechtsestraat. But we also like to recommend Haarlemmerdijk, Haarlemmerstraat and the 9 Straatjes for shopping and good food!

Jordaan
The Jordaan is possibly the most famous and romantic neighborhood in Amsterdam. This formerly typical working-class neighborhood with a colorful past, is now extremely popular with visitors and residents due to the picturesque canals, small shops and cozy streets and alleys. The Jordaan is the perfect area for a picturesque city walk in the heart of Amsterdam. Enjoy the unique canal houses, bridges and canals full of boats!

De Pijp & Rivierenbuurt

Walking from our hotel towards the Pijp, will make you pass pass the Rivierenbuurt: a stately neighborhood with various green parks and cozy shops. The Amstel River flows along this district. Most of Amsterdam's hotspots may be located in the Pijp, one of the oldest districts in Amsterdam. In this district you will find trendy boutiques, nice lunch spots and terraces such as Gerard Douplein and Marie Heinekenplein. For even more beautiful boutiques or a nice cup of coffee you certainly need to visit Van Woustraat or the Ferdinand Bol street. And last but not least; immerse yourself in the typical Amsterdam folk culture on the Albert Cuyp market.
