House Rules

The following rules are in place to ensure your safety, security and comfort. Please take the time to read them. If you have any suggestions or complaints feel free to contact the management.

General Rules

  • All instructions issued by hotel employees relating to the house rules must be followed.
  • Check-in is only permitted for guests aged 18 years or older. Minors must always be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (minimum age 25). Presentation of a valid identification document is mandatory. If the room is reserved for two guests, both guests must provide valid identification upon check-in. It is not permitted to receive unregistered guests or other hotel visitors in the room. Any violation of this rule may result in immediate eviction from the hotel.
  • The hotel is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.
  • The managing board, the owner of this property, and/or hotel employees cannot be held liable for any personal injury, material damage, or immaterial damage suffered by visitors on the premises.e.
  • In the event of a general fire alarm, leave the building immediately. In case of fire, remain calm and notify the reception desk and/or the nearest fire alarm point. Do not use the elevators.
  • CCTV cameras are installed throughout the building. By entering the hotel, guests consent to being recorded. In the event of emergencies and/or incidents, these recordings may be shared with third parties as supporting evidence.
  • Lost property must be handed in at the reception desk.
  • Dogs are permitted in a limited number of our Comfort Twin Rooms. The hotel must be informed prior to your arrival if you intend to bring a dog. A surcharge of €25 per dog, per night applies. Dogs are not permitted in any other room types, the à la carte restaurant, or the live-cooking breakfast restaurant. Your four-legged companion is, however, warmly welcome in the lobby bar and brasserie.Unfortunately, no other pets are permitted anywhere in the hotel.
  • For our suites, a security deposit of €150.00 per room is required. This deposit can be paid by bank transfer, debit card, or credit card. The deposit will be refunded on the day of departure, provided the suite is left in proper condition and all hotel regulations have been observed.
  • If your room is to be decorated by an external party, several conditions apply. The hotel must be informed in advance, decoration may only begin after the original check-in time, and all decoration guidelines must be followed. Decorations must be removed before the original check-out time. A refundable deposit of €150 (regardless of room type) will be required and returned once compliance with all rules has been confirmed. No decorations may be attached to walls, ceilings, window frames, or any other fixtures, and no drilling, screwing, or nail holes may be made in hotel property. The use of confetti (including confetti powder), streamers, real rose petals, and tea light candles is not permitted. Smoke detectors must not be covered, tampered with, or obstructed in any way. Writing or drawing on mirrors is strictly prohibited. For questions regarding permitted decorations, please contact the hotel.

It is not allowed to:

  • Photography and video recording for commercial purposes or social media-related activities are not permitted without prior written permission from the hotel. Requests must be submitted by email and may only proceed after written approval has been granted by the hotel. In all other cases, such activities are prohibited.
  • Use of the fitness and wellness facilities without staying overnight at the hotel is not permitted. Violations of this rule will result in a penalty of €150 per person, payable at reception. Failure to pay may result in notification of the police.
  • Renting a room in your name without personally staying in the room is prohibited. Any form of subletting will result in immediate eviction from the hotel.
  • Any actions that may activate or interfere with the hotel’s fire alarm system are strictly prohibited.
  • Possession of weapons or objects that may reasonably be used as weapons is strictly prohibited on hotel premises.
  • Hotel Amsterdam Zuidas operates a zero-tolerance policy. Guests who fail to comply with our house rules will be asked to leave the hotel immediately. Any security deposit paid will not be refunded and may be retained by the hote
  • Verbal or physical abuse towards hotel employees or other guests will not be tolerated.
  • Misuse of fire extinguishers, fire alarms, or other fire safety equipment is prohibited. In the event of misuse, a minimum charge of €250 will be applied in addition to any costs incurred for damages.
  • Emergency exits may only be used in the event of an emergency and must not be used as regular entrances or exits.
  • Hotel property may not be removed from the premises. Guests may be held liable for repair and/or replacement costs in the event of intentional damage to hotel property.
  • Possession, use, trade, sale or distribution of narcotics is strictly prohibited. This includes the use of soft drugs, hard drugs, and nitrous oxide (laughing gas). Violations will result in immediate eviction and a minimum fine of €250.
  • To cause nuisance to other guests or staff, meaning; playing loud music, obnoxious behavior or noise of any kind.
  • Smoking is prohibited throughout the hotel. If smoking is detected, a fine of €250 will be charged. For the safety of our guests and staff, covering smoke detectors is strictly prohibited and will also result in a fine of €250.
  • Occupancy of a room must not exceed the maximum number of guests permitted for the room type. Receiving unregistered visitors in guest rooms is not permitted.
  • The hotel does not permit guests to use rooms for sex work or prostitution. If such activities are suspected or identified, the guest will be evicted immediately and reported to the relevant authorities. Recording or distributing such activities online is strictly prohibited.
  • Violation of one or more of our house rules will result in a marking on our so-called alert list and a fine of €250 per room. Until further notice, we will no longer be able to grant you access to our hotel. For serious violations we will also proceed to a general denial of access to all Valk Exclusief hotels.
  • In allen Fällen, die in dieser Hausordnung nicht ausdrücklich geregelt sind, entscheidet die Hoteldirektion bzw. das Hotelmanagement.
